About the club. The club
was formed in 1996 and was created because it was felt that previous
clubs were pushing out stationary engine enthusiasts for alternative
machinery, so it was agreed that the new club would put stationary
engines as it's priority, but we still welcome other types of
machinery. It later became known as the C.M.V.S.E.S. (Central
Midlands Stationary Engine Society). Today the club stands at it's
maximum capacity of 50 members. Meetings are held on the first
thursday of every month where various issues and ideas are
discussed. The evenings are also used for people to get together and
talk amongst themselves.
The club supports the St Johns
Ambulance who attend most rallies that the C.M.V.S.E.S.
attend.
